The Master of Arts in Education program at Tusculum University provides licensed K-12 classroom teachers with advanced knowledge and skills to better serve their students, including those with special needs. The program offers two concentrations, Curriculum & Instruction which is offered fully online, and Special Education which is fully online except for one course that requires 3 face-to-face meetings. The Special Education concentration leads to add-on endorsements in Comprehensive K-12 and Interventionist K-8.

The Curriculum & Instruction concentration focuses on the effects of human physical, emotional and cognitive growth on planning and implementing developmentally sensitive educational pedagogy. It is designed to accommodate the needs of working teachers seeking to further their education and pursue opportunities for advancement within the field.
