CREDITS FOR PRIOR LEARNING

EARN COLLEGE CREDITS FOR MILITARY EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

Tusculum University recognizes the unique training and experiences our military students have gained. As a result, TU is committed to ensuring allowable credits (as determined by the American Council on Education (ACE)) are awarded to our student veterans whenever possible. Your DD Form 214 and military transcripts will be reviewed for college credit(s) once they are provided during your application/enrollment process. This review will occur regardless of your military rank at discharge.

STARTING THE PROCESS

For All Student Veterans:

Your DD Form 214 and military transcripts will be evaluated automatically when you provide them to Tusculum University during your application/enrollment process. In addition, all students can request credits by successfully completing national testing opportunities (CLEP, DSST, etc.). If you are interested in national testing, please contact the Veteran Services Office at 423.863.1713 or veterans@tusculum.edu for application process information.

To request additional possible credits based on your specific military career field and skill level, contact the Veteran Services Office at 423.863.1713 or veterans@tusculum.edu. Veteran Services will provide you with additional information and forms to start the application process. Once requested, your military career field and skill level will be reviewed for Tusculum University comparable courses identified by ACE. You can then accept or decline award of credit(s) and those that are accepted will be added to your transcript record. Any questions should be directed to veterans@tusculum.edu
