Discipleship Living-Learning Center

Live in Community. Grow in Faith. Lead with Purpose.

College is about more than earning a degree. It’s about discovering who you are, building lifelong friendships, and growing into the person God is calling you to become.

The Discipleship Living-Learning Center (DLLC) at Tusculum University is a Christ-centered residential community designed for students who want more out of their college experience. DLLC students live together in intentional Christian community, pursue spiritual growth together, and encourage one another through discipleship, prayer, Bible study, and everyday life.

This is not just housing. It’s a community committed to faith, friendship, leadership, and spiritual growth.

Why Students Choose DLLC

  • Christ-Centered Community
Live alongside students who are serious about their faith and committed to encouraging one another.

Peer Mentors: Upperclassmen Investing in You

Every DLLC student is paired with a Peer Mentor — a Tusculum upperclassman who is strong in their faith and committed to helping younger students grow spiritually, personally, and academically.

Peer Mentors regularly check in with students, build authentic relationships, pray with them, encourage them through challenges, and help them navigate college life from a Christ-centered perspective.

More than anything, Peer Mentors help create a community where students are known, supported, and encouraged.

The DLLC currently includes:

  • Two men’s houses
  • One women’s house

Each house is intentionally designed to create a strong Christ-centered community where students can build friendships, grow spiritually, and experience meaningful discipleship together.

Located right across the street from our campus, the DLLC houses provide a unique living experience that combines independence, community, and intentional spiritual support.

Life in the DLLC

Students in the DLLC enjoy:

  • Weekly Bible studies and discipleship groups
  • Peer mentoring and spiritual encouragement
  • Community meals and fellowship
  • Prayer and worship opportunities
  • A supportive environment focused on growth, accountability, and belonging

The DLLC experience is designed to help students grow not only academically, but spiritually and personally during some of the most formative years of their lives.

Scholarship Opportunity

Students accepted into the DLLC pay the same housing cost as traditional residence halls while also receiving a:

  • $2,000 per year DLLC Scholarship

That means students receive the benefit of intentional Christian community and discipleship while making college more affordable.
