God has brought me full circle. I was born in Alabama, and now I’m back here in the South. Son of an Air Force Colonel & Captain (Mom was a nurse in the Air Force), my folks and two sisters lived in Washington, Utah, Idaho, Maryland, & Northern & Southern CA. I completed my undergrad work at Cal State San Bernardino earning a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After graduation I worked as a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, which I jokingly refer to as the dark side of accounting. The best thing that ever happened to me was marrying my wife. We are celebrating 30 years together this year. Both Janet and I earned our Masters Degrees from the University of Redlands, hers in education, mine an MBA. We have both had dramatic changes in career, Janet from nursing to education, and me from revenue agent to teacher. I taught high school while earning my Ph.D. in Organizational Management from Capella University. We moved from California to Tennessee when I took a job at Milligan College. After nine years at Milligan, I became an associate professor at Tusculum College where my desire to serve the community is a great fit. We have a border collie, Bella, our only child. We attend Westminster Presbyterian Church where I am a deacon and Janet is the director of children’s ministries. This is my 3rd year at Tusculum College where I teach Management, Taxes, and Financial Literacy.
