Alfred Hoss, served 1836-1838
Alfred succeeded Henry Hoss as President of Greeneville College. He grew up in Washington County, Tenn. He served as Acting President of Greeneville College from September 15, 1836 to August 14, 1838. Alfred married his cousin Francina, daughter of Judge Jacob Pouder of Carroll County, Md.
