Teague, a native of Dayton, Ohio, will assist with the medical treatment and athletic training needs of the student-athletes for the 16 intercollegiate sports offered by the College and will be responsible for the sports of volleyball and softball.

She comes to Tusculum after serving the last five years at Bluffton University.  While at the Bluffton, Ohio school, she provided athletic training coverage for the sports of men’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, softball, women’s tennis and volleyball.

She served as a graduate assistant at Bluffton for three years, before being promoted to assistant athletic trainer in August 2012.  She was also an adjunct professor of kinesiology and recreation classes within the health, fitness and sports science department for the past three years.  She was staff advisor for the student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) and the Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA).

Teague spent the 2008-2009 academic year as an intern at the University of Alaska Anchorage where she assisted with the day-to-day operations of the athletic training room.  She worked with all sports, including the varsity men’s hockey team.  She also interned with the Dayton Bombers professional hockey team, which is affiliated with the East Coast Hockey League.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), is a licensed athletic trainer in the States of Tennessee and Ohio, and is an approved clinical instructor. She is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider.

Teague earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Education, Athletic Training degree from Wright State University in 2008.  She earned her Master’s of Business Administration with Healthcare Management degree in 2012 from Bluffton.
