Professor Schramm teaches economics, finance, and strategy for Tusculum’s adult programs. Her favorite part of teaching is helping students apply new skills to their jobs and careers. In particular, she guides students in exploring competitive markets and evaluating project investment opportunities.

Professor Schramm has considerable experience working with non-profits and companies on development strategy, including work with the Economic Development Council of New Orleans and the River Region, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as numerous companies and non-profit organizations.

She holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans and a PhD in Economics from the University of Tennessee. She completed postdoctoral research fellowships at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica (Mexico City) and the United Nations University Institute for New Technologies (Maastricht) studying corporate technology development. Her research publications and presentations include investigations into the technology development strategies of the Japanese Continuous Improvement Firm, corporate location strategies, historical redevelopment, corporate capital budgeting practices, and environmental process improvement.

Professor Schramm is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently resides in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Besides spending time with her family and friends, her first loves are travel, cooking, and art exhibits of all kinds. She also enjoys reading about new developments in neuroscience and behavioral sciences – fields that she finds highly relevant to economics, finance, and decision-making.

When the weather is good, she can usually be found exploring the many outdoor and cultural attractions of her adopted home state.

Professor Schramm is a native of New Orleans and currently resides in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans and a PhD in Economics from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Her specialties are development economics, regional and urban development, and strategic planning. Her dissertation was on technology development and the Japanese continuous improvement firm.

Professor Schramm has considerable experience working with businesses and non-profits in strategic planning. Prior professional experience includes work with the Economic Development Council of New Orleans and the River Region, the UN Industrial Organization, INTECH in Maastricht, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as numerous companies and non-profit organizations.

Professor Schramm teaches undergraduate and graduate economics, finance, and strategy for Tusculum. While she has served in a number of leadership roles for Tusculum, her favorite activity is working with adult students investigating investment opportunities and industry trends.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, her first loves are travel and cooking. Schramm is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and currently resides in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She can be found walking with her dog on most sunny days or sampling local cuisine and brew pubs.
