The Bachelor of Science in Biology provides students with a wide variety of fields, laboratory, study-abroad, internship and classroom experiences fundamental to the study of life.
The program is designed for students with broad interests in the biological sciences to prepare them for further studies in the health professions or in graduate research. Along with a rigorous background in biology, the sciences relevant to biology, physics and chemistry, are also stressed.

BIOLOGY CORE & MAJOR
At Tusculum, the Biology Core Curriculum is for all students in the Bachelor of Science in Biology major or concentrations program.
The Biology major provides excellent preparation for graduate school, medical school or for a successful career in the health professions.
PRE-PROFESSIONAL CONCENTRATIONS
Through the selection of a concentration, students can focus on a specific area of interest, such as:
Tusculum has affiliation agreements with several professional schools including Campbell University’s School of Pharmacy, Gatton College of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University’s Medical Technology Program.
