The new environmental resources center will inspire in our students, and students outside Tusculum, a desire to be environmentally responsible and to leave the world a better place.
A new environmental resources and facilities center will include outdoor and indoor classrooms close to the campus wetlands.
These will provide opportunities for Tusculum students to get hands-on knowledge and research experience – right on campus. The center will also give local and regional K-12 students and teachers access to these resources for field trips and active study. The wetlands classrooms will enhance a variety of courses in environmental science, biology and other sciences.
The building will incorporate green technology and provide space for the Department of Facilities Management, which is an integral part of the College’s efforts to be a good environmental citizen.
